365 Days in Review – The Mark of SUN SHINE
Closing out 2023—with many challenges and obstacles due to both external and internal causes. Added to that were difficulties and inflationary fluctuations in the domestic and international markets. As a foreign‑invested company in Japan, SUN SHINE also faced its own unique hurdles and disadvantages that needed to be overcome. Yet, through a spirit of unity, determination, and teamwork, the people of SUN SHINE faced and pushed back all difficulties and challenges together, achieving the goals set by leadership.
And then, we strove to create significant successes and memorable milestones in the company’s journey of building a steadily growing, sustainable organization heading toward a brighter future.
More importantly, this is a time for us to review together the numbers and events achieved and participated in during the past year—one year in review: “The Mark of SUN SHINE 2023”.
Opening of SUN SHINE’s Vietnam Office
Kicking off 2023, the SUN SHINE office expanded to Vietnam—SUN SHINE Vietnam Co., Ltd. was established. SUN SHINE Vietnam was formed to embody SUN SHINE’s strategic vision of becoming a multi‐service ecosystem for foreigners in Japan. Following its parent company in Japan, SUN SHINE Vietnam became the bridge for Viet‑Japan commerce, providing Vietnam‑Japan travel services and introducing the world’s and Japan’s best advanced health‑care therapies and solutions to the Vietnamese community.

The event marking the opening of the SUN SHINE Vietnam office is a key milestone, signifying the journey of expanding connections, fulfilling the dream of reaching the wider seas, and conquering new peaks for SUN SHINE.
SUN SHINE Expands into New Business Areas
If previously customers knew SUN SHINE as the leading provider of Internet services in Japan for foreigners, then in 2023, with a strategic vision and the leadership’s ambition, SUN SHINE officially expanded into two new business areas: SUN SHINE Travel and SUN SHINE Health Care.

SUN SHINE Travel provides Vietnam‑Japan air tickets and tours for Vietnamese people wishing to explore the Land of the Rising Sun. SUN SHINE developed tour programs combining travel with health‑care experiences and medical check‐ups in Japan. Additionally, SUN SHINE Travel partnered with schools in Vietnam and Japan to provide opportunities for young generations in both countries to exchange culture and learning environments.
In the travel sector, SUN SHINE became a partner with major airlines such as Vietnam Airlines, Bamboo Airways, Vietjet Air, … and created memorable “fly‑and‑remember” experiences for customers. SUN SHINE also cooperated with major universities in Tokyo and hospitals such as Juntendo …

Inspired by the mission to be the dedicated companion of every Vietnamese family, SUN SHINE Health Care was launched with the guiding principle of helping Vietnamese people shift to proactive health care and improve qualicine, stem‐cell applications and high‐technology aesthetics in Japan. We aim to provide customers with a wide range of health‐care services, therapies, and top‐tier health‐care products in the world and number‑one in Japan.
Supporting Cultural & Community Exchange Programs
2023 was a very successful year for SUN SHINE as a community brand with many outstanding initiatives, leaving many positive impressions. SUN SHINE actively became an organizer, sponsor, and partner in many major domestic and international programs and events, creating constructive, healthy platforms for Vietnamese people studying and living in Japan. For example: SUN SHINE served as organizer of the Vietnam Festival “Xin Chào! Saitama” — a standout event commemorating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan; sponsored the Hatsu Live Concert in Tokyo; served as diamond sponsor for the Vietnamese people’s football tournament in Japan FAVIJA CHAMPIONS CUP 2023, …

Besides sponsorships, SUN SHINE further affirmed its position as a leading foreign‐invested company in Japan by being invited to participate in forums and seminars on economic and cultural topics to promote enhanced cooperation among businesses and countries in today’s integrated economy.

Notable Internal Activities & Meaningful Charity Programs
Always believing that personnel are the key to success. Over the past year, the company especially focused on human resource development by regularly organizing training and specialist improvement to raise workforce quality. At the same time, employee welfare and social benefits programs were enhanced. Programs such as: weekend get‑togethers, Team Building, Vietnamese Women’s Day October 20th, March 8th, Christmas… were held to strengthen member connection within the company.

SUN SHINE also expanded its social responsibility programs, connecting through activities such as: organizing charity trips to donate gifts to underprivileged students at Minh Khai Primary School (Minh Khai commune, Binh Gia district, Lang Son province); “Children’s Festival” at Sao Mai Center (Hanoi); supporting families affected by the Khuong Ha fire (Thanh Xuan, Hanoi); serving meals at K Hospital Tân Triều; supporting overseas Vietnamese in difficulty after the January 1 earthquake in Ishikawa prefecture; organizing “Warm Winter for Kids” distributing 500 gift packages to children in a mountainous area of Nghe An province…

2023 ends and opens the door to a new year with even greater challenges. However, with unity and determination, SUN SHINE staff maintain a spirit of solidarity, resolve, ready for the journey of 2024 with confident smiles, a healthy environment, full of positive energy, striving forward to conquer new peaks.
